Beatenburg make it rain at the SAMA'S

Capetonian indie-pop trio Beatenberg made me applaud when I heard on Highveld FM this morning, that they scooped a total of six awards at the XXI Annual South African Music Awards on Sunday night. I mean that is seriously impressive, these guys came in with their hit single Pluto (Remember You) with DJ Clock in 2013. Damn that song was on another level, the instant I heard it, I was like” I got to have that song” the instrumentals blended in really well, it just goes to show what a great Disk Jockey, DJ Clock is. I have to admit though, I thought the song belonged to Liquid deep mainly because the vocals sounded similar to Zyon’s and when I actually saw the video, I was star-struck. It is no surprise that the song was named Best Selling Ring-back Tone and Best Selling Full-track Download, and also received the SAMPRA Award for Highest Airplay of the Year. Yah neh, if it is your time, it is.
Never in my life have I witnessed such a triumphant moment. Just weeks ago, we were all telling people who do not necessarily add value to our lives (yeah I know we all have those people we just wanna get rid off)to PHUMAKIM! that was everyone’s anthem as a result of Cassper Nyovest’s victory lap of scooping 5 metro awards. I am very certain that none of us thought nobody would come as close and actually win more than Cassper’s awards but guess what, Beatenberg did.
Now, for those who have no idea what Beatenberg is,

Beatenburg comprises of those sexy guys. These guys rose to fame in 2013, and among the awards they won last night, Album of the Year for The Hanging Gardens of Beatenberg album and Duo or Group of the Year award are included. I am gonna be on the look out for Beatenburg’s coming album and will make sure I spread the word and I trust you MuziQvillaz to do the same.
For the funny comment on social media the jacket that AKA wore to the SAMAs could have  never went unnoticed, but the comment that Percivale Young  made on Twitter ‎@Percyoung got me rolling on the floor.

This is what she said: ‘How can AKA's jacket have lights while the rest of us are experiencing #loadshedding ??? #SAMAXXI”…LMAO..now take a look at AKA’S attention seeking jacket.
YAH NEH, This was the day hey. With that stunt being pulled, congratulations to all the winners, and to Beatenberg, it is only the beginning, the best is yet to come.

MOMENT FOR LIFE FOR DRAKE

58- Year -old Madonna forcefully plants a kiss on 28 –year- old Drake’s mouth
This morning as the radio fanatic that I am, I was listening to Stacy Norman on Highveld FM( frequency is 94.7 for those who have never heard of a radio station with a name like that), she mentioned that last night Drake finally got the moment of his life when Madonna gracefully kissed him like the boy next door. Now I thought, wow Drake is as man, he kissed Madonna, mmh. Stacy posted the video of last night’s performance that happened at this year's Coachella Festival on her Facebook account. Jesus, the shock that my eyes experienced when I pressed play. But I know you are probably wondering if this is a 12 days after April Fools joke or what. Well believe it or not Drake received some music blessings kiss on his mouth from his grand ma. But don’t believe me, believe the facts. I know you will especially love the expression on Drake’s face because as they say it, IT WAS PRICELESS!

Now take a very close look at drake’s face and zoom it in. recognise the look of regret, yes. GREAT! Now you can proceed to the next step and make no mistake, notice the walk-of-no shame that Madonna flaunts as she walks away from Drake like queen of pop that she is, leaving Drizzy completely disgusted. I have to admit though, Well played Madonna, I wouldn’t have let him get off his trademark chair without a taste of the 50s kiss.

Bucie and Donald don't want to let it burn

LOVE IS NOT ABOUT TO LOOSE!

Okay Mr. Romantic is back on the music scene after only a year since he released his last album entitled “Train of Love" and this time he is giving us EVERYTHING he has got. Donald Moatshe is known for his hit songs " Denial", "Deserve", " Over the Moon", " The One"  and loads more…that album was the best and I did not know how Donald was ever going to top "Train of Love" but Jesus...he did...just take a look at the cover of his upcoming album...wooo AMAZEBALLZ!

It is pretty evident that Donald wanted to go full platinum on this album as well which  is why he went and looked for the best people in the industry including the American R&B sensation, Kenny Latimore...I mean… Wow Donald...this guy works for his money but yeah...I guess if you are using your talent the right way, you get blessings everywhere. Well Donald did not only team up with Kenny Latimore, he also went with one of SA's finest house ladies...Bucie Nqwiliso, and LORD…they murdered that song…and everybody loves it to bits ( including me)...

The song is entitled " Don't let it burn" and IT IS THE GREATEST COLLABORATION these two have ever made (hopefully not the last)...big ups to them...in the video we see the two lovebirds battling it out trying to save their relationship...we see them angry at each other (something most couples go through)...This song had me actually thinking that these two might actually fall for each other in real life...like honestly…am I the only one who saw the chemistry between these two...they had me believing me that they really want the " SPARK TO REMAIN"...What do you guys think…should they try this thing out and just be one of those who fell for each other on the set of their music video...should they pull a Monica and a Shannon on us ( Monica and Shannon Brown actually went on to get married and made cute babies together)...mmmh…

I should also give it to the man who was behind the beat…wow…work of art...the beat and the instruments drive me insane...they make the vocals sound really amazing ( PERFECTO!)...

If you have not seen the video to this amazing song, be sure to click down below and have fun while watching it because these two certainly wanna give all the struggling lovebirds another chance...DO NOT LET IT BURN people...DO NOT!

K.O and Nandi Mngoma Make Love

                                         RIDE OR DIE KINDA LOVE

Mmh...Has anybody been keeping taps to Nandi Mngoma and K.O'S Instagram accounts like someone I know…well if you have not been? Let us fill you in...K.O and miss Nandi Mingora have been posting pictures of the amazing thangs they did on their music video set to the song " Skhanda Love" and mmmh...boy…they look AMAZING!...Okay…take a look before kuthiwa ngiqamba amanga…

Wow...just look at them...you know the theme of the song Gangsta love...that is what these two are showcasing...the fact that they have the ride or die kinda relationship and nothing can ever come between them.mmhh…ngabe baphi obBad boy abanje…

I have been looking for this shot in the video and i think I am missing it or something...but is it actually there...did they actually decide to omit on the video...ai cha if they did..I am sad for like a second because the rest of the shots were really good...i guess it was the longevity of the song that lead them to that decision...i would have loved to see the shot though...but...hey...on the good side...these two look really good together...they portray the storyline really good. Too bad they both are taken...shame...good for their significant others though...
Shall we talk about the fact that Nandi Mngoma can sing...whaaat...I am gonna be totally honest in this one...I did not know that home girl could hit a note not because I am not a fan or something but because I have not heard any song from her and that was until K.O. decided to feature her and LORD...does she not sound amazing...she should let Bae Zakes Bantwini produce more of her sound (well that is if he has not done it already)...

Cha eka K.O ayikhulunywa...the man is a lyrical legend...the lines he writes are just on point...i have no idea how he comes up with these mad rhymes but i aint complaining. I love every single bit of it. Every single line he writes I am sure drives everybody insane...let us keep supporting our fellow musical geniuses and the world shall be a better place (no like literally...the world has got to hear such talent...)...be sure to click on the video of Skhanda Love by K.O ft. Nandi Mngoma and be inspired (not to be a gangsta but to love unconditionally)

LOOK OUT FOR NATHI

WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS…IT HAS POURED FOR NATHI

Nathi Mankayi is an Eastern Cape-born singer from Umthatha who has had a lot of struggles growing up but like any other determined person, he has become the best in what he does because he never gave up because God never gives up on a person if that person believes.

Growing up, Nathi was a well-known criminal but in 2004 he was arrested for armed robbery and was released in 2008. During his time in prison, he formed a choir which made his stay shorter but most importantly, he had time to reflect and think about his life, which ultimately made him realise that he needed to change his life and since he lived in a home that was headed by a single mother, he definitely had to change his life not only for his single parent mother but for his other 5 siblings. You will hear his story in the song “NOBA NGUMAMA"

He became a professional singer after entering a singing competition entitled “Dare to Dream" which he entered with his sister the first time (she won obviously). After winning he had the opportunity to record a song with jaziel Brothers... the song which is driving everyone insane “Nomvula". Nomvula is a single from his album “BuyeleKhaya" and it is amazing. But his Journey was not finished, he needed a recording company to sign him up and thankfully, it was through Ghetto Ruff Music that Mankayi finally got his big break.

I am proud to call myself a Nathi Mankayi fan as of today. This guy has a great voice and it has lead people into comparing him with the Afro/ Soul legend Ringo Madlingozi and I should say, they do sound alike but you can actually tell that this is Nathi's sound...well I believe, it  is the Eastern Cape seed that they both have. Eastern Cape singers are by far THE BEST AFRO/SOUL SINGERS IN SA...I am not even playing with yall right now...that sighosha thing going on makes me fall a hundred times more for their sound...mmh...Lord...
Nathi also has some religious songs in his album but with his twist on it...so if you are also a spiritual person, be sure to get yourself a copy of the album and listen to the song " Ndenzenjani" and just be a Nathi fan for life because the album is insane!...

Be sure to click on the video below and listen to Nomvula and then go on to buy Nathi's album “Buyelekhaya"...

ONE DIRECTION'S ZAYN RELEASES A SONG

Zayn going solo

 Source: Google images

Remember when Zayn Malik dropped a grenade on our hearts and we cried for like a week, couldn’t listen to one direction because his voice was just so perfect and all the 1D guys suddenly sounded like him in all their songs, Yeah, I bet that is one bomb that all girls will carry around for a long time.
Now, a day after Zayn placed a life ticking time bomb on our hearts, he was allegedly seen going into a studio, (yeah, go ahead smile, my same exact reaction), I was like, damn Zayn really can mend broken hearts, and then a few weeks later, Zayn’s producer, Naughty Boy released Zayn’s DEBUT song “ I WONT MIND”, now as a dedicated one directioner, I got out of bed instantly, wiped off my tears, and went online and looked for the song. Mmh, people, that song surely sounded like Zayn but It was not long ago that the tears started rolling down. I was crying not because he finally released a song which meant I am forever gonna hear his amazing voice but because his sound is so different from the pop sound I enjoyed. It felt so wrong and in fact, I couldn’t even finish listening to the song because I was so angry but most importantly, I hated his cute face for deceiving us, BUT, I could not resist his charming voice, so obviously now, I went back and listened to the rest of the song, and boy, did I not roll down on the floor with tears.
Zayn played with our emotions but damn, the boy messed with the wrongs ones right, yeah, because even though, he is taking us, the fans, for granted we still believe in him and we are going to support his handsome self and amazing voice whatever choice of sound he has decided upon because “ THESE GIRLS ARE LOYAL” like that.
So Malikans, go dig I WONT MIND up and listen to that song and then tell the ones who thought Zayn was thoughtless for leaving ONE DIRECTION ( reality speaking, he shouldn’t have though), that our British boy has made a comeback. WHOOP WHOOP!!, he’s just too handsome to have an epic fail of an album but if we support this one song, we might just make his album a hit before it even comes out, yeah..
…Down below I have posted the lyric video to I WONT MIND for those who are way too lazy to do the digging up, and don’t say I didn’t warn you, that song is waaaay too emotional, you might just cry just listening to the voice behind the instruments cos Zayn is just that good and to top things off, it feels like he’s actually singing the song to all the 1D heart-broken fans.
…mantombazane namajita, I give you: I WONT MIND By Zayn Malik, ENJOY!

Another Boy Band Breaks-up

A DIRECTIONER FILES A DIVORCE

I have never really been a fan of boy bands because I know eventually they will all want to go for solo careers showcasing their individual voices to the world, leaving us fans heart- broken because truth is, when we start going bananas for a certain group it is because of their unique sound, their voices blending in together. And besides, I always wonder what goes on in their minds thinking fans will fall in love with their individual sound when fans were vouching for the unique sound of the band and the fact  that fans were supporting their music as a band doesn’t necessarily guarantee that they will continue supporting their individual careers because truth is, not everyone in the group tends to be vocally gifted, there is always that one person who just happened to come into the world humming an amazing melody that the world will always be willing to buy their album if they were to decide to go their separate ways with the other members.
Some of us remember that horrifying heartache we felt last year when the UK boy band The Wanted suddenly announced that they were breaking up after completing their Word of Mouth tour and giving us the famous statement “ to pursue personal endeavours” as the reason for the split. But we quickly recovered because we knew One Direction was there for us and  that they would never ditch us like us like that because “nobody compares” to them.

Well I’m deeply saddened to announce Zayn Malik’s departure from the band. I know, I know, take it in. I was also crying hysterically when I heard the news. I mean Zayn is probably the reason why most of us love One Direction right, and to just find out that he is leaving the band makes me want to just stick my ears to the ground and hope that it’s a publicity stunt. Well, unfortunately he said so himself in a tweet. Zayn wants to be a “...Normal 22 year old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight...”
Zayn went back home in the middle of an Asian tour because of “stress” that came following pictures of the singer partying with another woman in Thailand surfaced. Well most of us who have been obsessed with the tiny little Zayn from back in 2010 know that he is engaged (oh wait, are they married already?)to his longtime girlfriend, Perrie Edwards, so it is no surprise that the guy is obviously devastated because he is head over heels in love with his Purple head.
                                                                                          Source: Google images
(SEE I WAS NOT JOKING, SHE REALLY IS A PURPLE HEAD)

Even though we’d kill for Zayn, we have grown to love Perrie because she is the woman who has caught the heart of the British Pakistani beauty. Well our hearts are destroyed but we wish Zerrie the best in their married life. We are obviously hoping that Zayn eventually comes back to the music scene after he has had fun as a 22 Year old out of the public eye because I can sure buy his album if he decides to embark on a personal project in the future.
It might comfort you to know that we are not the only one’s soaking in tears for Zayn’s exit because Harry had a meltdown on stage in the middle of the first performance without Zayn. How sweet of Harry. As usual, we are crossing our fingers in hope that One Direction does not Break- Up because I don’t think my heart can take that much disappointment, but let me just prepare you guys in case it happens, Harry Styles has had his heart set on a solo career ever since last year. It looks like this year is not off to a great start. I am obviously not against Harry’s decision to be a solo artist but can he please just not leave One Direction especially now that we have lost a One Directioner already. For now we are praying that he decides to be a double player and save us all the trauma.
With the sad news being said, we are wishing Zayn all the best to his upcoming and future projects. And to the four directioners left, we will continue supporting you guys and your music but please just don’t break-up.

Breezy's Lip Syncing Tour

Yall have to admit though, that purple really looks good on him (wink wink! my favourite colour, lol)

(Chris singing to fans at the Coca-Cola dome)
To all those MuziQVillaz who were smart like me, and decided to save their R1 250 bravo!!...yall got the message from God that Chris Brown was gonna LIP SYNC his way into your hearts. Chris Brown performed at The Coca Cola Dome in Northgate, Johannesburg on the 02nd of April 2015 last night. Some fans were extremely overwhelmed by the feeling of having laid their eyes on Chris Brown’s opening act, August Alsina, that when Chris finally performed, people just went bananas and didn’t notice the worth of their money going straight to the trash can. Well, some of the people, who can’t really be said to be fans because fans don’t notice the bad habits of their heart- throbs, they lashed out on social media, particularly twitter, about Breezy making a fool out of them after coming to terms that poverty will strike for at least another 2 months (don’t know about those guys who decided to impress a girl, then the girl invited two more friends, aw bandla sikhal’ nawe brotherz), and then Breezy just decided to lip sinc their R1.500 (that was the price of the golden circle by the way).
This didn’t really sit well with me, obviously not because I’m not a fan of Chris, but because, my friend had to lie to her Zambian parents just to see August Alsina, Chris was just part of the package for her, but she paid anyway. She gave up saving for Ciroc and spent her last Rands into paying for a lip syncing tour..DAMN! girlfriend you should have just waited for One Direction with me and paid R850 (Golden circle…amazing right when compared to Chris’ golden circle).
Now, on top of the fact that the prices were ridiculously expensive, I for one was expecting a performance of the century, for that amount of money, I would have rather taken a plane straight to Cape Town and sipped cocktails ngaphandle kokvithizwa iStress..wuu ai bayofa nini bakhohlwe that they went to boMashonisa to get that loan just for Chris and only for him dish out amazambane ashisayo…mmh..whoever caught him should have gotten a refund just for “ seeing and not telling”.
But I seem to have noticed a repetition of events here, remember when Rihanna was in SA and was caught lip syncing aswell, ontop of that she just slipped into some normal outfits that seemed like something that one of my friends can but eSmall Street…mmh..these two are surely copy cating each other. Mara nani African nithanda izinto, like you would never pay that much amount for Lira, a great local singer, yet u would compromise on your little salary to see an international artist, for the WHAT? Yall guys aren’t fair and as long as you keep supporting Abo-Trey Songs keep in mind kuthi he’s getting rich and you are getting poorer. Support your local artists before going out to support One Direction, I did that and it felt great. Putting African music on the map starts by going to local shows and supporting the guys for their hustle and then sit back and relax and comment and tell me how good it actually feels.

Don't you just love Youtube,  it is really a convenient network to watch every show that we find too expensive, down below I have posted a link to a snippet of what really went down at the Coca-Cola Dome, and you can be the judge, was Chris Lip syncing or not?
